The theme of the 2009 Annual report was "Connections." A sculptural installation of colorful suspended origami balls graced the cover, subtly illustrating the theme through student artwork, central to MICA's mission. Throughout the book, the theme was repeated with colorful balls bearing key messages and phrases, and slim silver lines connecting the ideas to the donors profiled and the information conveyed.
